With our new purpose built vehicle, our seven advertised males at Tumi Alpacas are now available for mobile matings, with two more coming soon. Our already low prices apply to matings within a 200km radius of our farm. Outside of this, travel is charged by negotiation. Contact with us does not finish when you buy alpacas. We are keen to follow the lives of our alpacas and their offspring as well as the results of matings with our stud males. The main thing that attracted us to alpacas was the camaraderie and support given by fellow breeders. We wish to continue and strengthen this aspect of the industry. We are available 24 hours a day to give advice and support, from talking you through the birthing process to advice on feed or supplements. If we cannot answer your questions we have a broad network to draw upon to head you in the right direction. Our property comprises 350 acres of pasture and cropping land. We have 150 acres of treed native pasture. This ensures the health of our herd. We are presently establishing 100 acres of mixed lucern/grassland that will be rotationally grazed in six paddocks. This amount of pasture is more than enough for the 100 plus animals that we run, which allows agistment to be available on a long term or short term basis.
